1. Introduction 1.1. Behaviour of Strengthened RC Beams Using Exterior Bonded-CFRP The effectiveness of employing Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) to boost the flexural strength of RC beams has been demonstrated in a number of experimental studies. The structural integrity of concrete structures reinforced with conventional steel reinforcement deteriorates as a result of their exposure to harsh environmental conditions such as high humidity, temperatures, and chlorides in maritime environments.
