Let’s be real: dining out in Sydney can be a real budget-buster. Urban List loves a restaurant feed as much as the next hungry Sydneysider, but a single sitting sometimes chews through our wallets faster than we can say “bill, please.” Luckily, Uber Eats has a new app feature designed to help us dine out for less, and it’s launching in Sydney before anywhere else on the planet.

An investigation is underway after a body was discovered in Homebush on Wednesday night. About 10.30pm police were called to Homebush Bay Drive after the body believed to be covered was discovered on the side of the road by a passing motorist. Officers from Auburn Police Area Command established a crime scene which is continuing to be forensically examined. The body has not been identified and the death is being treated as suspicious.

The Fair Work Commission has ruled there will be a rise to Australia's minimum wage. Our lowest paid workers will see a boost of 3.5% ($24.30) to $719.20 a week. Unions had been calling for a $50 rise, but said it's a step in the right direction. "This increase takes us closer to our goal of 60% of the median wage," said ACTU Secretary Sally McManus. Some business owners aren't happy, with claims it'll force small business owners to slash the hours of workers because they can't afford the new wage.
