Have you ever used a typewriter?

I'm a Gen Xer, so yes! Typing used to be a required class in high school.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Via email so you can contact me any time of day or night, from anywhere in the world.

Why did you become a journalist?

To go beyond my photos and share more about the places I visited, the local cuisine I enjoyed, and the cultures I experienced.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

"The Fast-Growing Food Allergy You Don’t Know About, But Should" about alpha-gal syndrome.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Because I prefer email pitches, any time is a good time!

What's your favorite drink?

It's a three-way tie between coffee, iced green tea, and wine.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

On a long walk in nature with my camera—wearing bug spray so I don't get any more tick bites!
