Co-thermal coupling of carbonate decomposition and propane dehydrogenation via hydrogen transfer
Abstract Strongly endothermic reactions are always constrained by thermodynamic equilibrium that necessitates high-temperature operation. This paper describes a co-thermal coupling strategy that integrates two thermodynamic equilibrium-limited processes into a single reaction environment via hydrogen transfer.
Ultrathin CoO nanosheets enable direct CO 2 hydrogenation to acetic acid
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Direct hydrogenation of carbon dioxide (CO2 ) to acetic acid, a key commodity chemical, offers a sustainable route to valorize greenhouse gases but is plagued by CO2 inertness, thermodynamic barriers, and poor selectivity for C-C coupling over competing overhydrogenation.
CO 2 -assisted dehydrogenation-hydroformylation cascade enables syngas self-sufficiency and carbon-efficient propane upgrading
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Propane upgrading is fundamentally constrained by the high energy demand of conventional dehydrogenation and the reliance of hydroformylation on fossil-derived syngas, limiting both efficiency and sustainability.
Process-separated cascade catalysis for highly efficient alkane-to-aromatic conversion
Abstract Bifunctional catalysis is pivotal to industrial heterogeneous catalytic processes, yet its performance is limited by the kinetic entanglement among different elementary steps.
Sulodexide attenuates sepsis-induced lung injury in neonatal rats via TNF-α pathway
Abstract Neonatal sepsis is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, often complicated by acute lung injury (ALI). Current treatments lack targeted anti-inflammatory or antioxidant strategies. Sulodexide (SDX), a glycosaminoglycan with endothelial-protective, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, may offer therapeutic benefit. A lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neonatal rat model was used to evaluate the effects of SDX.
A characteristic length linking oxygen transport and product selectivity in chemical looping methane anaerobic oxidation
Abstract Oxygen redox kinetics is crucial to the efficacy of redox catalysts for the chemical looping anaerobic oxidation of methane. However, the entanglement of oxygen surface exchange and bulk diffusion complicates the optimization of redox catalysts. This paper describes a characteristic length linking the oxygen transport and product selectivity in the chemical looping anaerobic oxidation of methane.

Single-step and parallel high-speed fabrication for Au micro-/nanostructures
Patterns fabricated with Au nanoparticles (Au NPs) exhibit significant potential in fields such as micro-optics and bioelectronics. However, the current manufacturing methods still suffer from complex processes and low efficiency. In this work, we propose a high-speed manufacturing method for Au micro-/nanostructures based on spatiotemporal focusing and maskless lithography, achieving a throughput of 0.5 mm2/min.

Defective TiOx overlayers catalyze propane dehydrogenation promoted by base metals
Editor’s summary Titanium nanosheets, which are normally relatively poor catalysts for propane dehydrogenation, become highly active when they completely encapsulate metallic nickel. Chen et al. loaded nickel ions onto titanium oxide nanosheets supported on alumina and then reduced them in a hydrogen atmosphere at 600°C. This process completely encapsulated the metallic nickel, and this catalyst displayed 94% propylene selectivity at 40% propane conversion.

How to win the war against infringement on China’s e-commerce platforms | JD Supra
[co-author: Lili Wan] In the information age, with the rapid development of the Internet, mobile Internet, big data, and other technologies, products can be promoted to the whole world without leaving your house; foreign companies can also open stores on China's major e-commerce platforms, leveraging precision marketing on customers and intelligent recommendation to achieve “things to people.” However, the mushrooming of infringing goods has become a major new problem for companies.
The Standards of Proof of the “Original Scope” in the Prior-Use-Right Defense | JD Supra
[co-author: Xiushuang Wu] According to the relevant provisions of the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China, if the same product has been manufactured, the same method has been used, or the necessary preparations have been made for manufacturing or use before the filing date of the patent, and the manufacturing and use is continued only within the original scope, it would not be considered as the infringement of the patent right.
Hit by the lawsuit against WIPO domain name dispute decision in China? Respond actively! (UPDATED) | JD Supra
[co-author: Bo Xing] For domain name disputes, applying to WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center for arbitration is a way that many foreign right holders are willing to choose because of its fast speed and low cost. If the respondent is a Chinese enterprise or a Chinese citizen and it is unsatisfied with the decision of transferring the disputed domain name made by WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, it/he/she may bring a lawsuit to a Chinese court with jurisdiction.
Cracking Down Copycat of Luxury Goods through Chinese Trademark and Unfair Competition Law with RMB 1M Damages | JD Supra
Unlike trademark right and patent right which is generated through registration, there is no specific certificate of rights for “commodity packaging and decoration with a certain influence” in the sense of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, and it is more difficult to protect such rights in practice. Especially the standard for determination is stricter for the commodity shape itself being considered constituting commodity decoration with a certain influence.
What's New on China's Punitive Damages in IP Litigation? | JD Supra
Punitive damages system has been established for intellectual property infringement cases from the basic law to the special law in China. On March 3rd, 2021, the Supreme People's Court issued Interpretation on the Application of Punitive Damages in the Trial of Civil Infringement Cases of Intellectual Property Rights. The Interpretation makes specific provisions on the application scope of punitive damages, and the determination of intentional infringement and serious circumstances.
Punitive Damages in China | JD Supra
Punitive damages refer to the compensation determined by a court in excess of the actual loss of the right owner. In China, in infringement cases, the principle of compensatory damages has always been adopted, which is intended to cover the "actual loss" suffered from the infringement. However, in recent years, in order to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights and to deter infringers, punitive damages system has been gradually introduced.

Legal consequences of providing false or forged evidences in non-use cancellation cases and advises on maintenance of the registration of trademarks in China - Lexology
Chinese trademark office received 5.748 million trademark applications in 2017, and the accumulative applications and registrations was even a huge number. Due to the existence of a large number of prior trademarks, the number of trademark applications rejected and partially rejected is huge. A total of 1.595 million trademark registration applications were rejected or partially rejected in 2017.
Order of discovery for profits from patent infringement
20 May 2019 Beijing Wei Chixue Law Firm (Linda Liu Group) By Sai (Jie) Chen China has no discovery system and applies the ‘burden of proof’ principle to be borne by the claimant. As a result, the plaintiff usually bears the heavy burden of proof. The plaintiff must prove the existence of the alleged infringement and, if a relatively high amount of damages is desired, will also have to prove the rights holder’s losses or the infringer’s profits obtained from the infringement.
