Abstract Climate change and socio-economic factors have made predicting energy demand and assessing sustainability important problems in today’s energy systems. This work proposes an integrated framework for multi-country energy forecasting and sustainability assessment using deep learning and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI). A multi-country dataset for the years 2020–2024 is used, including climate, socio-economic, environmental and energy-system variables.

Abstract Depression is one of the most common mental disorders, and more than half of individuals with depression have reduced or discontinued antidepressant use due to side effects. Medicinal plants are safer, cheaper, and more readily available than synthetic medications. This study will employ bioinformatics to assess the impact of compounds discovered in plants used in traditional Persian medicine (TPM) on key proteins involved in depressive pathways.

Abstract Assessment and management of dry eye disease (DED) in the UK is increasingly taking place outside of specialist ophthalmology settings. While comprehensive, evidence-based international guidance exists, much of it does not reflect the realities of practice in the UK. A panel of experts was brought together to identify areas of consensus on assessment, management, and appropriate referral of DED in the UK National Health Service (NHS).
