Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has formally submitted his nomination form for the 2027 governorship election to the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This was contained in a statement issued by the governor's spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa. The governor was accompanied by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senator Kawu Sumaila, members of the House of Representatives, and other respected dignitaries from the state.

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have purchased expression of interest and nomination forms for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The immediate past National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, presented the form to the governor during a stakeholders' meeting, on Thursday. The presentation of the form serves as a symbolic adaptation of Governor Yusuf as the party's governorship candidate in the state.

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved Shehu Wada Sagagi of his appointment as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry with immediate effect. Governor's spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, announced this in a statement, on Thursday. According to the statement, the former commissioner has been directed to hand over the affairs of the ministry to the Director of Commerce pending further directives.
