Abstract Lentil and chickpea are valuable protein sources, especially in arid and semiarid areas. In these regions, soil moisture is highly valuable, and plastic mulching is one method of conserving it. So this experiment aimed to assess the effect of plastic mulch on rainwater use efficiency and seed yield of lentil and chickpea.
