Pricing and specs have been announced for the new BYD Dolphin G

BYD has announced pricing and trim details for its new Dolphin G plug-in hybrid supermini. The car comes with two flavours of electric powertrain, both working with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates electricity and occasionally powers the wheels. The smaller 7.4kWh battery option is only available on the entry level Active trim, and it manages 24.8 miles of electric range. It can only be charged back up at 3.3kW because of its diminutive size.
