SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A new K-9 for a new era of policing. The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office has introduced its new K-9 that specializes in detecting small electronic devices. Her name is River, and she will be used specifically in crimes involving children. The 2-year-old yellow lab has been trained to detect the smell of electronics: micro SD cards, USBs, hard drives and other digital evidence that is often missed in criminal cases.

What’s missing in Hendersonville? City asks residents for their input

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Hendersonville city leaders want the public's help to lure in new businesses. The city recently took to social media to ask locals for their thoughts on what commercial storefronts should be added to vacant spaces around town. In less than a week, around 1,300 people have responded. "One of the things we want to find out is, why are Hendersonville residents leaving Hendersonville?" Hendersonville Mayor Jamie Clary said.
