3 Songs You Didn't Know Sam Cooke Wrote for Other Artists
3 Songs You Didn't Know Sam Cooke Wrote for Other Artists There are many reasons why Sam Cooke is considered today to be one of the greatest singers of the 20th century. Cooke wasn't just a singer.

Peter-Crouch-Liverpool You'd be hard pressed to find many football fans who don't have fond memories when they hear the name Peter Crouch. When asked what he would have been if he didn't become a footballer, Crouch famously replied: "A virgin." During his long career, Elvis Costello has dabbled in everything from mainstream pop and baroque classical music to punk and country. These days, though, he seems to be harkening back to his early years. The terrific recent Spanish Model found him adding Latin vocalists to the instrumentation on his original 1978 second album. Now comes The Boy Named If, a mostly hard-rocking entry that seems at times as if it could have appeared right before or after that sophomore effort.

Elvis Costello & The Attractions ‘Trust’: A Dark Masterwork - Best Classic Bands
Elvis Costello’s fifth album and fourth with the Attractions captures the quartet at a potent but troubled peak, its title a loaded, ironic signifier. Trust is non-existent for tortured characters enduring or enacting betrayals, deceptions and delusions that cast complicated shadows.
