There are two reasons why I bought Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The first was for Tepig, as I wanted to reunite with one of my earlier starters from Pokemon Black. The second reason was Bulbasaur. The Grass/Poison type is my favourite Pokemon, and I’ve missed having him by my side for a long time, so that was enough to draw me in even if other parts of the experience filled me with doubt.

One of the things people love most about Pokemon is that they evolve. As they level up and become stronger, they change into something new. Yet, while Pokemon have two or three different stages of evolution, each is considered an entirely different creature, complete with its own separate name and Pokedex entry. Therein lies my problem: I’ve never wanted to evolve my Pokemon that much. Not because I crave tougher challenges, but because they just look too cute and iconic to change.

EA’s Skate has seen a flood of players hitting the streets of San Van since its early access launch last month. Over 15 million skaters have been diving into the game, and now that we’re seeing the first season and events hit, hopefully that ball will keep rolling. As part of Season 1, the first event launched on October 21, titled ‘Skate-o-Ween’.
