Abstract 12/15-lipoxygenase (12/15-LOX, Alox15) generates bioactive oxygenated lipids during inflammation, however its homeostatic role(s) in normal healing are unclear. Here, the role of 12/15-LOX in resolving skin wounds was elucidated, focusing on how its lipids act together in physiologically relevant amounts.

Virgin Media O2 to cut more than a tenth of UK workforce with 2,000 jobs at risk

Mobile operator Virgin Media O2 is to cut up to 2,000 jobs in the UK by the end of this year, it has confirmed. The cuts amount to 12% of its total workforce and include 800 role reductions that were already announced. It comes after its rivals BT and Vodafone both announced in May that they were also cutting jobs.
