Recently, Nintendo actually did the unthinkable: They added a 24-year-old game to their Nintendo Classics service on Switch 2! You know, something they could have done at any time for the past year and change and just chose not to! In all seriousness, I appreciate the chance to play 2002 GameCube title Super Mario Sunshine on my Switch 2, as it’s simultaneously one of my favorite games of the era and a fairly unique experience.

Square Enix’s beloved Kingdom Hearts franchise has retaken the spotlight in recent weeks, with the emergence of multiple trailers for the much-anticipated Kingdom Hearts IV as well as the announcement of an exclusive Disney+ series based on the gaming franchise. As fortune would have it, I actually began my relationship with Kingdom Hearts last month, having played the very first game in the series and enjoyed it for the most part.
