She will report to Avon Group VP and publisher Tessa Woodward, and will focus on key acquisitions, special projects, and new editorial strategies. Désir spent the last six years at Sourcebooks, most recently serving as VP and editorial director of the Bloom Books and Sourcebooks Romance imprints.

Eight months since it launched in October 2025, the Literary Arts Fund has awarded $7.7 million in funds to 40 nonprofit literary arts organizations and publishers across 19 states in its inaugural grant cycle.
