This behavior reflects broader socioeconomic inequalities that influence health practices. However, empirical evidence from Iran remains insufficient, and the study was conducted to investigate socioeconomic inequalities in SMA among the Iranian population in southern Tehran.
Association between A Body Shape Index (ABSI) and risk factors for non-communicable diseases in Iranian adults: a cross-sectional study findings from STEPS 2021
Abstract Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are major global health problems. The A Body Shape Index (ABSI) has been proposed as an indicator of central obesity and cardio metabolic risk, but evidence on its association with multiple NCDs is still limited. The aim of this study is to examine the association between the Z-score of the A Body Shape Index (ABSI) and a comprehensive panel of non-communicable disease (NCDs) risk factors within the Iranian adult population.
