I have seen the speculation that Stop! That! Train! used generative AI, read director Adam Shankman’s denial that there are any AI-conceived shots in the film, and gone down way too many Reddit rabbit holes about the whole thing. I have also read the many comparisons between Stop! That! Train! and Airplane!, and, after my own viewing, concluded that, although nothing can really touch the 1980 comedy classic, this new queer comedy does a perfectly fine job of mirroring that zany tone.
