Well, hello there! I am Sam.

I am a former senior digital journalist and editor for TODAY.com. Previously, I was a digital and field producer at WUSA in Washington D.C.

Prior to that experience, I worked as a digital director at KREM in Spokane and as a digital/special projects producer and fill-in EP at WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee.

I went to the University of Missouri - Columbia. I am a big fan of music, travel, and basically all food.

Dolly Parton and her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, were married for nearly 60 years, and died within a year and a half of each other. While the country music legend had been in the spotlight since the ‘50s, her relationship with the businessman mostly remained out of the limelight. Parton, a star on the stage, television and film, died on Aug. 25, 2026, at the age of 80. Her nephew Bryan Seaver confirmed her passing in a video message shared on her Instagram page. He did not mention a cause of death.

SINGAPORE – Siow Shong Seng is elbows-deep exploring the latest features of Microsoft Copilot 365, having set up Copilot Cowork to automate several tasks for him. The chief transformation and technology officer at Singapore National Trades Union Congress (SNTUC) gets daily updates on tech trends, the labor movement’s appearances on social media, and the economy and jobs. “I set up these agents to run by themselves. It saves me from typing out the same prompt every day,” he said.
