1 Introduction Advancing materials with enhanced functionality is critical for enabling next-generation technologies. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and their derivatives are a promising new class of materials with advanced functional characteristics beneficial for a wide range of applications, from energy and catalysis to biomedical and health care technology [1-4]. MOFs offer a natural advantage for both mechanism studies and performance optimization [5-8].
