Samson T. Jacob’s Biography
As a tenured, endowed professor and chair of the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Dr. Jacob had a long and illustrious career (renamed Biological Chemistry and Pharmacology)
Dr. Jacob did everything he could while at OSU to improve the department's standing, bring in highly accomplished faculty, boost research funding at the College of Medicine, and instruct and guide students, post-doctoral fellows, and clinical oncology fellows. Dr. Jacob has mentored 16 Ph.D. students, 32 post-doctoral fellows, two undergraduates, and a fellow in clinical oncology. Many are faculty members, some with full professorships, at prestigious universities both domestically and abroad. Many of them have received prestigious honors for their contributions to science.
