1 Introduction Significant decarbonization efforts are required to mitigate global warming, with low-carbon fuels, feedstocks, and energy sources being vital to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 [1]. Lignocellulosic biomass from agriculture and forestry residues presents a promising renewable feedstock for producing advanced biofuels and chemicals. However, its conversion is still challenging due to its recalcitrant structure and the high oxygen content of the biomass [2].
