More than 900 people attended a fundraiser for Jewish Care on Monday night, celebrating 35 years since the charity was first formed. Broadcasters Natasha Kaplinsky and LBC’s Nick Ferrari hailed Jewish Care as they co-hosted the event at Grosvenor House, which raised funds for the UK Jewish community’s leading social care charity. Holocaust survivors, Health Secretary Wes Streeting and former Labour MP Luciana Berger sat among diners at the fundraiser.

Former Chancellor George Osborne has dismissed the US President’s plan to transform Gaza as “fanciful”. Addressing more than 1,000 guests at Jewish Care’s annual Topland fundraiser, Osborne said the suggestion – which came after Donald Trump shared an AI-generated video of Gaza on social media with casino hotels and skyscrapers – “ain’t gonna happen”.

There was a time when the elderly were the public face of a cancer diagnosis. It was assumed that the disease would hit people in the winter of their lives – not their prime. But now, statistics show there has been a stark increase in the number of young adults being diagnosed with cancer. Over the past four years, Chai Cancer Care – the UK Jewish community’s leading cancer support organisation, reported a 311 percent increase in clients aged 18-40.
