1 Introduction The phase-separated morphology (eutectic morphology), including two or three phases, can be self-organized by the solidification of the melt with a chemical composition at the eutectic point [1]. Several functional crystals with various eutectic morphologies (eutectic crystals) have been developed for various applications, such as high-strength materials [2, 3], optical materials [4], and scintillators for gamma-ray and neutron detections [5-9].
