Road Tripping with Dead People

I drove down to Springfield, Illinois on Juneteenth, hoping to see the Emancipation Proclamation and 13th Amendment on display side-by-side for the first time in over a decade. Both are held in the vast archives of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Both were signed by Lincoln; the former was one of a series of copies made and sold to raise money for the war effort.
