The postcodes within the community fall within the bottom three deciles of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation and, compared with Glasgow as a whole, had a lower proportion of residents from an ethnic minority (5%). Initial contact was made with one local anchor organisation; a council-funded initiative taking an asset-based approach to improve outcomes in the community. They had strong links with the local health improvement team, as well as multiple local community groups.
