Togetherall brings mental health awareness and support to agriculture
Throughout the years I have seen our agriculture community come together during times of need. Wildfires, floods, droughts, tornadoes and hurricanes, for example, all bring the appropriate awareness from news headlines, but what about the mental health crisis affecting the people in our industry? The chronic, sometimes daily struggles of farmers and ranchers, whether financial, family, weather, economic, or regulatory in nature all play a role in our daily lives.

That is why I’m thrilled that the American Farm Bureau and the Farm Family Wellness Alliance recently came together to unveil a new resource that can help all of us in agriculture remember we are not alone. It is an electronic platform called Togetherall, a tool developed to bring mental health awareness and support to others. For my fellow millennials, think Twitter meets Reddit; only so much better.

AI Generated Content and Copyright Ownership Rights in the U.S.
The emergence of accessible generative AI products has resurfaced the question of the degree of human creativity that is required for copyright protection. While the Copyright Office has a study underway, both the recent guidance from the Copyright Office and a recent case holding suggest that human creativity continues to be an integral requirement in securing copyright protection.
'Oliver Cromwell and the Haunting of Ireland': a talk by Dr Sarah Covington
10-05-23 - 10-05-23, 7:30 PM - 9:00 AM Admission: ££6 Adults, £4.50 Students/Museum Members Location: Via Zoom In Ireland, few figures have generated more hatred than Oliver Cromwell, whose seventeenth-century conquest endures even today. This talk will look at the ways in which Cromwell was remembered and sometimes conveniently 'forgotten' in Ireland in different sources, the landscape, folklore and memory - the reasons why these happened and how it reshaped Irish history in the process.
Oliver Cromwell was the devil himself to Irish immigrants and Irish Americans
Oliver Cromwell, more than any other non-American figure from history, has enjoyed a rich and diverse afterlife in the United States. From the country’s early days, colonial New Englanders shared his puritanism and were sympathetic to the republican experiment that he initiated in England after the beheading of Charles I in 1649; on the other hand, his rule also became an object lesson in tyranny, given his betrayal of the “good old cause” and his 1653 declaration as Lord Protector.
Cromwell in America
The posthumous fate of Oliver Cromwell is as interesting as the life itself, given that his reputation has pivoted in so many different directions. Cromwell appeared in Italian plays, French polemics, German literature and the letters of the Australian outlaw Ned Kelly; but nowhere was his afterlife more pronounced and fraught than in the United States. It was inevitable that his name would live on in a North America populated by English, Scottish and Irish immigrants.
