Is oral care the new skincare?
Good morning, everyone. Over the last year, I’ve used every cleaning, chipped tooth, and popped wire as an excuse to get my dentist to weigh in on the wave of new oral care products on the market (completely normal patient behaviour). I arrive ready with screenshots—of toothpastes, brushes, floss, rinses, and picks—and he sends me away with a thumbs up or down. Brands that fail to pass usually have questionable or under-researched ingredients.
Are you high signal?
Good evening, everyone. Like residents of most major cities, Torontonians have their fair share of complaints: about housing affordability, public transit and traffic, cleanliness and safety. These issues are real, and I complain about them too. So when criticism around our role in co-hosting the World Cup started to ramp up, amplifying some of these concerns, I was eager to participate. Who did city officials think they were, dedicating a billion dollars to host 13 games in Toronto and Vancouver?
TIME re-launches in Canada
Good afternoon everyone. It was a rocky lead up to the World Cup, but as the tournament enters a second week it feels like any concerns have been swept to the side as Canada embraces the benefits that comes with being a host country for the world’s most-watched sports tournament. It’s so fun to watch my neighbourhood come alive, even if I have questions about how so many people were able to make it to a patio to watch Portugal play DR Congo in the middle of the workday.
