On Tuesday, 04 August 2026, Saturn Metals (STN) used the Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum 2026 to outline a development plan for Apollo Hill, a gold project in Western Australia that management says could become the country’s next new heap leach mine. The company highlighted strong economics, a large resource base and a growing exploration pipeline, while also noting that the project still needs a definitive feasibility study, reserve update and final approvals before production can begin.

Lindian Resources’ high-grade “conglomerate” hosted bauxite deposit at its Gaoual project in Guinea continues to bulk up, with the company confirming that it has extended the Bouba plateau by another kilometre to the north. Lindian has also verified the presence of conglomerate bauxite at Bouba South, which is currently sized at about half a kilometre by 2.5km.

Rox Resources and Venus Metals have hit the highest gold grades seen to date at the JV partners’ Youanmi South prospect near Youanmi in Western Australia, with drilling returning a peak intersection of 12 metres grading 12.7 g/t gold from 80m down-hole. Another high-grade intersection close to surface recorded 12 metres at 8.5 g/t gold from only 44m down-hole.
