English This article explores the professional career of Jaume Sauret Guasch, Josep Solanes and Francesc Tosquelles, three psychiatrists’ members of the Catalan political party POUM in 1936. They studied together and met in Barcelona before the war. During the Spanish Civil War, they played a very significant role in the development from the end of 1936 of new care strategies at the front, together with another colleague, Santiago Montserrat Esteve.
