ABSTRACT Objective Emergency department (ED) healthcare professionals (HCP) are at the frontline of evaluation and management of patients with acute, and often undifferentiated, illness. During the initial phase of the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, there were concerns that ED HCPs may have been at increased risk of exposure to SARS-CoV-2 due to difficulty in early identification and isolation of patients.

Medical Imaging In this article, we will be looking at what is medical imaging, the different applications and use-cases of medical imaging, how artificial intelligence and deep learning is aiding the healthcare industry towards early and more accurate diagnosis. We will review literature about how machine learning is being applied in different spheres of medical imaging and in the end implement a binary classifier to diagnose diabetic retinopathy.
