Idaho kids need urgent access to mental health care
I grew up in Meridian back when it was still a rural town. I became a math teacher, then a social worker, and, for the past 20 years, I’ve worked for nonprofit organizations serving Idaho kids and families. I love this state. But after decades in this work, I can tell you plainly: Too many of our children are falling through what few safety nets exist.

Discovery to Deliverables in the Software Development Lifecycle
In our last blog post we started our discussion about the importance of a thorough discovery process which defines the software users’ needs. When done correctly this will lead to a more accurate estimate with a realistic timeline of deliverables. In this post, we’ll focus on what those major milestones are in the software deliverables timeline.
Software Estimates Are Only as Good as the Discovery Process
Once you’ve decided to build a website or mobile app, either as an entrepreneur or business enterprise, there are some key steps you need to take very early on. While it’s convenient to think a developer can throw out an accurate price estimate after a phone conversation, maybe even a short meeting, the truth is that an estimate you can actually ‘bank on’ comes only after a detailed discovery scope.
LETTER: A matter of safety
I am really concerned about the recent rash of accidents involving big rigs lately. There is a growing concern for the safety of the public lately. Every day there is at least one or more major accidents in Deep East Texas involving 18-wheelers. I drove a truck cross country for almost 10 years and cannot believe that TxDOT and the highway patrol are not enforcing the strict regulations that are put on these vehicles.
This is really exciting
