The Northampton track and field team got ready for the EPC meet this week with a couple of big wins over Bethlehem Catholic last week. The girls won 132-10 while the boys won 123-26. The girls were led by Amber Hawkins and Alexa Wiland who both won three events. The girls won all but one event. Hawkins swept the hurdles with times of 17.5 in the 100 and 52.8 in the 300. Hawkins also took the high jump with a 4-5.

Whitehall track and field swept Central in a meet from April 29. The girls won 84-62 while the boys won 83-63, setting the stage for this week’s EPC track and field meet. Edrien Lee remains near the top of the 100 and 200 events league-wide, and she came away with firsts in both. Her time in the 100 was 12.1 and in the 200 was 26.3. Llyneida Otanez swept the hurdles with times of 15.8 in the 100 and 47.3 in the 300.

Lehighton swept past Catasauqua in a Colonial League meet. The Indian boys registered an 87-58 victory, while the girls posted an 86-54 win. The Pagottos had a big day for the Indians as Elijah Pagotto took first in the boys 800, 1600, and 3200. Sister Claudia Pagotto won the girls 1600 and 3200. Bodie Hawk also took top spots in both the shot put and discus for the Lehighton boys while it was Anna Hawk who had three second-place finishes. Catty was led by Hamaad Jenkins for the boys.
