Scott Shafer’s Biography

Currently coordinating KQED's coverage of politics, especially state and national politics it relates to California. Everything from the state's reaction to policies of the Trump Administration to state and local campaigns, actions in the legislature and more. I oversee our bureau in Sacramento while also continuing to report, host radio programs and appear on KQED Newsroom, our weekly TV show.

Prior to working in journalism, I worked in campaigns and state and local government.
