He answers questions about the rise in faith chatbots, pastors using AI and how new technologies could change the church. Hope joins WBUR's All Things Considered to discuss.
The ‘gift’ of celebrity weddings
My niece is an avid “Swiftie,” and as speculation swirled about Taylor Swift's marriage to Travis Kelce, she was eager to learn any details she could. When and where would it take place? What would Taylor’s wedding gown look like? Would she have bridesmaids? I understand her fervor. I had the same questions 40 years ago about Caroline Kennedy’s marriage to Edwin Schlossberg. I was even able to attend their wedding on Cape Cod — albeit as an uninvited guest, huddled under the trees with my mother.

Inclusive and accessible cities start with well-maintained sidewalks
A year ago, my husband came home from the hospital after a stroke to our house in Cambridge. Needing a wheelchair, at least for now, is one of the many challenges we have to live with. We are lucky to live in a one-level house with an accessible bathroom and wide doorways. We are also lucky that we live in a neighborhood with coffee shops, a supermarket, a pharmacy and a barber. It is walkable, but with difficulty, even for me, a 59-year-old woman in excellent shape.
