Nearly 200 people gathered at the Al-Hidaya Center in Latham to pay their respects to the family of Harbe Nagi, a 7-year-old boy with autism who went missing Sunday night and was found dead Tuesday morning in a neighbor’s pool after authorities and the community searched for 38 hours. Community visitation hours were held Wednesday, where family members met with mourners ahead of Najee’s funeral.

Search continues for 7-year-old autistic boy missing from Menands graduation party

Search efforts continued Monday for Harbe Nagi, a 7-year-old boy with autism who is nonverbal and was reported missing Sunday afternoon from a graduation party in Menands. Harbe was last seen in the lower portion of Park Drive where it meets Ward Lane. He was wearing a light T-shirt and dark pants, but no shoes. He is 3 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 48 pounds. It was around 4 p.m. Sunday when Harbe was reported missing from a graduation party on Park Road in Menands.
