Video Melbourne came out shining with jubilant displays of green and gold as the joy of the Socceroos World Cup victory erupted in celebrations at sites around the city. More than 7000 football fanatics packed Federation Square to watch Tony Popovic’s Socceroos squad score twice in the historic win. Former Socceroo captain Craig Foster served as the Fed Square MC among the supporters. “Australia should be immensely proud,’’ he said. “This is one of our great wins. It has stunned the world”.
