1 INTRODUCTION The antioxidant capabilities of polyphenols, which are found in common food items including fruit, vegetables, and tea, are linked to the prevention of several chronic illnesses and cancer (Dai & Mumper, 2010). These compounds are considered beneficial as they may inhibit cell proliferation, protect against oxidative stress, and modulate cell signaling pathways related to cell survival.
