US Trends in Prescribing Nonstatin Lipid-Lowering Therapy, 2019-2024

Despite expanding evidence supporting nonstatin lipid-lowering therapies (LLTs) for patients at high risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, contemporary use across US medical specialties is not well characterized. Using a national prescription database, we examined trends in US nonstatin LLT use from 2019 through 2024 compared with statin prescribing.
