Macrophages are central to the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). However, the identities and functional relationships between tissue-resident and tissue-recruited macrophages in NASH remain poorly understood. A recent study from elucidates, at single-cell resolution, the fates, niches, and regulatory landscapes of liver tissue-resident and tissue-recruited macrophage populations in NASH.

Clinical and experimental analyses have identified a central role for IgE/Fc?RI/mast cells in promoting IgE-mediated anaphylaxis. Recent data from human studies suggest that bacterial infections can alter susceptibility to anaphylaxis. We examined the effect of LPS exposure on the induction of IgE-mast cell-(MC) mediated reactions in mice. C57BL/6 WT, TLR-4 -/- and IL10 -/- mice were exposed to LPS and serum cytokines (TNF and IL-10) were measured.
