1. Introduction When a fire breaks out, toxic substances and carcinogens such as carbon monoxide (CO), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), volatile organic compounds (VOC), benzene, hydrogen cyanide (HCN), benzo[a]pyrene, hydrogen fluoride and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) are generated at the fire scene through the combustion process [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14]. Firefighters face various dangers at a fire scene, such as collapse, explosion, and isolation.

Abstract Background The association between breakfast skipping and abnormal metabolic outcomes remains controversial. A comprehensive study with various stratified data is required. Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between abnormal metabolic outcomes and breakfast skipping by sex, age, and work status stratification. Methods We used data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys from 2013 to 2018.
