1 Introduction The spine is a complex structure consisting of bone, ligament, muscle, and neural structures, and the holistic interaction between these structures plays a fundamental role in providing axial stabilization. It is also central to the formation of posture and the maintenance of movement capacity (Neumann and Kelly 2010). Incorrect postural habits, prolonged immobility, trauma, and degenerative processes can cause pain in different segments of the spine.
