1. Introduction In water resource engineering, fluid flows have two models. They are pressurized and free surface flow models. These applications can be seen in irrigation systems, treatment plants, and hydraulic structures [1]. Fluid flows can exhibit single-phase or two-phase flow characteristics. In particular, air–water mixtures are used to transfer oxygen from the atmosphere in aeration systems. Aeration is generally carried out for oxygen transfer to water, mixing, and flotation [2].
