Abstract Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease posing a major health challenge in tropical and subtropical regions, including Malaysia, where the climate supports year-round transmission. It affects millions annually, leading to severe illness and hospitalization, while the lack of specific antiviral treatment and the expanding range of Aedes mosquitoes make dengue a persistent global threat.

Abstract Objective: To examine the relationship between hyperuricemia and ischemic stroke in a sample of 200 participants and to identify key cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors associated with stroke. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at the Department of Medicine, at Bacha Khan Medical College and Mardan Medical Complex Mardan from September 2024 to February 2025.
