Why did you become a journalist?

To make a meaningful difference while working in a fast-paced environment that's constantly changing.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was the layout editor and editorial page editor of my high school newspaper, the "Pirate Press." I've always loved alliteration.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

A story where I united a woman who lost her son in a drunk driving crash with the man whose life was saved by his organ donation of a heart.
