Abstract The agribusiness industry faces a global challenge in attracting and retaining qualified workers, making it crucial for higher education institutions to understand the skills employers value most in recent graduates. This study aimed to identify the perceptions of the agribusiness industry on the necessary skills needed in agribusiness graduates.

Most adults know the connection between food and agriculture. If it was not for the farmers, we would not be eating and drinking nutritious meals. However, even adults are becoming less inclined to make that connection when they sit down to eat the dinner they just picked up at the grocery store or had delivered right to their door by the Uber Eats driver. Now what do you think young kids are thinking about their food — especially the kids living in large cities?
