Record breaking warmth continues today, air quality issues persist

New Published January 14, 2026 3:09 am BEND, Ore (KTVZ) - We were able to break temperature records in Bend, Redmond, and Sunriver yesterday afternoon. Highs tipped into the lower 60s for some yesterday. Because of how warm we were able to get yesterday, we’ve adjusted the forecast slightly. Highs this afternoon will be in the 50s and lower 60s again, which sets us up to potentially break records once again this afternoon.

Mild pattern continues with near record breaking temperatures

Updated today at 3:56 am Published January 13, 2026 3:54 am BEND, Ore (KTVZ) - A ridge of high pressure is the dominating feature of the forecast this week. Highs this afternoon will be in the mid to upper 50s. Bend could see a record broken today. That old record was 59 degrees and I am forecasting a 58. It will be close, but it is possible that we see a new record set. High temperatures are expected to be above normal through the weekend.

Mild and dry pattern in place through the long term forecast

New Published January 12, 2026 3:22 am BEND, Ore (KTVZ) - A ridge of high pressure has parked itself over the West and is bringing sunshine and above normal temperatures this week. The region is expected to be quiet with little change throughout the week, making it pretty much a temperature forecast. Temperatures today will be in the upper 40s to middle 50s under a few passing clouds. Winds could be a little breezy at times. Lows tonight will be in the 20s and 30s.
