Abstract In this work a chemical combination approach method was used to synthesized Zirconium (Zr) doped Nickel oxide (NiO) nanoparticles in five distinct compositions: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 W% Zr doped NiO. Physio-chemical techniques were used to characterize the synthesized materials. The XRD spectra show that the synthesized material cubic wurtzite structure with average crystallite size was 16.00 nm. The SEM images show the size is uniformly distributed and varies greatly between 50 and 80 nm.
