Clarkson, a true pillar of the community
It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of our dear friend and former board member, Andrew Clarkson, who died on Dec. 16. Andrew provided many wonderful years of guidance and support to Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County. He devoted hundreds of hours of time in service to our non-profit agency and helped to ensure that we would be able to provide home health and hospice care services to the community now and long into the future.
Letter: Al Nickel will be greatly missed
It was with great sadness that we learned that Al Nickel, our dear friend and esteemed colleague on the Board of Directors, died unexpectedly on Nov. 21. Al’s compassion, empathy and love of life, family and community will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Al was the first to congratulate a friend or colleague on a success or celebratory event, and always with heartfelt warmth and enthusiasm. For those who were suffering, Al’s kindness and genuine caring never failed to ease the burden.
