Results Between Feb 28 and Oct 4, 2023, a total of 1257 participants were screened for eligibility. Of those, 496 participants were recruited and randomised into either the Moderna (n=177) or Novavax (n=176) vaccine groups or self-selected to a non-randomised control group (n=143) (Fig. 1). Baseline characteristics of study participants in the vaccine groups were reported previously10 and are shown with the control group in Table S1.
