THERE were six matches in the North East Wales Girls Football League and 39 goals were netted. It was a close U17s- league contest between Brickfield Rangers (Allisa Hughes) and Flint Town United, with the latter winning it 2-1. Olivia England and Annie Alderson were on target. Non Llewelyn Williams- hat-trick helped The New Saints to a 9-1 triumph over Airbus, who had Elise Fawkes on the scoresheet.

The Reds recovered from a two-goal deficit to triumph 5-2 at Briton Ferry Llansawel first up and next in the schedule is Sunday-s home encounter against Barry at The Racecourse.
