Abstract This study focuses on the electoral inclusion and political participation of Gujjar Bakarwal women in Jammu and Kashmir. The Gujjar Bakarwal community is a nomadic tribal group that remains socially, economically, and politically marginalized. Although India’s democratic system promotes equal participation, these women still face many challenges in taking part in politics.

Sada e Gujjar, Kunj e adab Gojri Mahari zuban, Gojri zuban and Gojri FM and many other pages are also paying attention to women’s gojri literature. Gujri language and literature is being promoted through another audio application called Clubhouse, in which women are also playing their role “Tareq Hussain Abrar who is a well known writer, author and Journalist is running a Gojri program ” Souch Vichaar”under his Tariq Abrar Official club. Naseem Akhtar is an important member of this program.

n 1979, a half an hour Gojri program from DoorDarshan Srinagar was started at 5:00 pm in the name of “Karvaan”. Initially, this program was fortnightly, then after a year it became a weekly program and it continues till today. In the beginning, Begum Jan, a well-known Gojri singer of Kashmir organized this program for about ten months, but she also could not last for long. Apart from her, Shazia Kasana also organized some special programs.
